  • Where do we collect our guests?

    • From your accommodation (hotel, guest house, Airbnb or private residence) in Dublin, Meath (Trim, Navan and Kells) and Louth (Drogheda and Dundalk).

    • From Dublin Airport.

    • From cruise ships at Dublin Port.

  • What are the options for lunch?

    • There is a cafe at the Brú na Bóinne Visitors Center for a light lunch.

    • Maguires cafe on the Hill of Tara is a great location for a light lunch.

    • Dolly's Pantry for an excellent home cooked lunch.

    • The Conyngham Arms in Slane for a full lunch in a restored 18th-century coaching inn.

    • Lunch is not included in the tour price.

  • What's at Brú na Bóinne?

    • Brú na Bóinne is a UNESCO World Heritage Site which includes the 5,000-year-old megalithic passage tombs at Newgrange and Knowth.

    • Allow 2 hours for a Newgrange visit, allow 3 hours for a Newgrange and Knowth visit.

    • Tickets are released 30 days in advance and are subject to availability.

    • We can't guarantee entry until the tickets are purchased.

    • Newgrange and Knowth can only be accessed on a shared tour with official guides.

  • Can the itinerary be changed?

    • It's a private tour so the itinerary can be customized at the time of booking or on the day of the tour.

  • Can a custom tour be created?

    • A custom bespoke tour can be arranged; contact us to discuss options and pricing.

  • What Clothing and Footwear?

    • Wear suitable shoes for walking on grass or uneven ground.

    • Wear layered clothing and bring a rain jacket; umbrellas supplied if needed.

  • What to expect weatherwise?

    • The weather in Ireland is mild, moist and changeable, with frequent rain.

    • Many winters have little or no snow; some winters can have a cold spell with snow lying for a week or two.

    • While the average winter high temperature is 47°F (8°C), on some days the temperature may not get above 35°F or 37°F (2°C or 3°C).

    • During the summer months the temperature may rise well above the 67°F (19°C) average high; temperatures up to 77°F (25°C) are not unusual.
